Chris Baty hat im NaNo-Forum aufgerufen, unsere Big, Fun and Scary Goals für 2008 aufzulisten. Da ja ohnehin der Jahreswechsel vor der Tür steht, mache ich mir hier auch noch einen Erinnerungsknoten ins Blog.

Hier also statt guter Vorsätze meine Wünsche für 2008. Ich habe noch einen, den sage ich aber nicht. Das geht nämlich jedes Mal durch Aussprechen in die Hose.


Big + Fun

- finish my Novel and get it edited (as most of us do :))
- sell that Novel :P
- write at least one more novel
- take part in and win next NaNo
- write on a more regular basis (it seems to work, I have just submitted two stories for contests - both finished within 3 days)
- find an agent (for children's stories in the first place)
- learn how to write a screenplay or radio play
- get more teaching jobs
- likewise get the big, fun and scary translation job (got an offer of 55k in one month - does that ring a bell ?) paid at least half in advance
- earn enough money to employ a cleaner :) (why bother myself when I know others do better jobs on this one)


Big + Scary

- move flat. I'm fed up with spending most of my income on rent and maintenance.


And my most favoured dream:

I want to earn enough money through different streams that I can reduce working to half of the year and have a lot of fun with my daughter without having to do anything during her holidays.
